Answer to a question from the audience on Australian TV

Shortly after The God Delusion was published, I did a book tour of America. One memorable stop was in Lynchburg, Virginia, where there are two universities. The host institution was Randolph-Macon Women's College, but the front two rows in the audience, and the questions, were monopolised by visitors from Liberty University, founded by Jerry Falwell. Technical point: the questioners' microphones were fed straight into the recording and are therefore easily heard on the recording. But they were much harder to hear on the stage when booming out over loudspeakers facing into the hall.
